Dry Needling

Dry Needling

Dry needling is a safe procedure using acupuncture needles inserted into the muscle directly at a myofascial trigger point. A myofascial trigger point consists of multiple contractions within a muscle causing a tender point inside the taut bands of muscle also known as a” knot”. They occur in overworked or traumatised muscles.

Sports Injuries

Sports Injuries

Sports Massage uses light manipulative soft tissue techniques and stretching to stimulate the body, release muscle tension, increase range of motion along with many more benefits. Sports therapy plays an important role in injury prevention and rehabilitation post surgery from serious injuries. Find out more.

Deep Tissue Massage

Deep Tissue Massage

Is very similar to Swedish massage, however the pressure is much deeper and slower focusing on the realignment of the deeper layers of muscle tissue, tendons and fascia, releasing chronic muscle tension. Ideal for people who suffer from chronic aches and pains. Find out more.

Swedish Massage

What My Clients Say

Andrea Lally

Having suffered hip/back/leg pain and sciatica from a sports injury for three years with no relief from physiotherapy, I was delighted to find Michelle. She instantly provided relief from the pain and by looking away from the site of pain was quick to locate the source of the sciatica. Not only is she very informative taking the time to explain what she is doing and why, she is also generous with her time. It's thanks to Michelle, I am optimistic I'll be back doing all the activities I enjoy again soon. I couldn't recommend her enough!!

I have suffered hip and lower back pain for quite some time and Michelle was recommended to me by a friend. I found her to be extremely knowledgeable and understanding of my problem, taking all ailments into consideration. Michelle identified what was causing my pain and provided relief from my very first appointment, I cannot believe the difference and I am now well on my road to recovery. I highly recommended Michelle.

I've just had another session with Michelle and can only praise her most highly for her professionalism and skill. She takes the time to find out where you are experiencing aches and pains (if any) and will even carry out certain tests/limb movements to get a more accurate assessment. Michelle is like an excellent mechanic who lifts the hood and can immediately determine if anything is wrong. She then quickly gets to work on the troublesome muscle groups with great skill and care. I always leave the sessions feeling relaxed and with all tension lifted.

I have been attending Michelle Harte Sport Therapy and Massage regularly for some time. I suffered from long-term shoulder and lower back pain. Through listening to me describe my pains and through a range of assessments Michelle was able to pinpoint the causes of my pain and develop a bespoke plan for me (treatments and homecare). Michelle is extremely professional, knowledgeable and attentive. In addition to the treatments Michelle was able to provide me with tailored exercises for me to complete so that my recovery continued long after the treatment and I have built up a range of exercises, which I regularly employ, to maintain good muscle health. I would highly recommend Michelle.

I’ve had 3 sessions so far with Michelle, and I can’t praise her enough. For a start, she took the time to get a full picture of the problem that I had, and other factors that might be related to it, unbeknownst to myself. And she figured the problem out that others couldn’t. Her technique of pressure points and muscle movement is new to me, but very affective. She has a great understanding of her work, and can plan out a road to recovery with ease. I 100% recommend Michelle for any aches and niggles you might have.

Michelle is great. She really knows her stuff. I often find myself asking her what it is when she locates my pain and she explains it so well that I know how to fix myself and rectify my problem. She treats her patients great shes really friendly and most of all she knows what shes talking about. Before you think that you need to go to a chiropractor give Michelle a visit too. I decided to take the chance with her after reading the reviews and I only owe it to give her 5 stars seeing as shes helped/ in the process of helping me, every session Im getting stronger and better from a very serious and aggravating injury! She'll know what is your issue in one session and have you fixed and ready to go in no time.
